NMBRS6 is Mr Mageeka’s Different Lekstrix; a track that joins the dots between the UK Funky and House sounds coming out of London with the hypnotic jacking rhythms of early Dan Bell and 90’s Relief records. Put simply, a marriage of two of our favourite musical movements in history.
First heard on Marcus Nasty’s Rinse FM shows, it was top of everyone’s wants list for months, until recently, with a whole lot of detective work and a little bit of help from Hessle Audio’s Ben UFO we managed to track it down.
Remix duties have been handled by one half of the Night Slugs board L-vis 1990, who takes the irresistable hook of the original and adds his own inimtable touch, resulting in a peak time banger.
Different Lekstrix is available on 12″ vinyl and digital from Monday 7th June.
