Policy on Use of Numbers Works for AI Purposes

For full clarity, and without affecting any prior reservations of rights, Numbers (including NMBRS LLP and all associated entities) expressly affirms that its rights are fully reserved as set out below.

Numbers affirms that any past, present, or future access, use, copying, reproduction, extraction, distribution, or exploitation of any of the works or content (or any portion of) owned or controlled by Numbers – including but not limited to sound recordings, audiovisual recordings, musical compositions, lyrics, artwork, images, photographs, data, metadata, liner notes, sleeve notes, or any other related materials – for the purposes of text and data mining, artificial intelligence (AI) training, development, or commercialisation of AI systems, tools, or technologies, web scraping, mining, altering, making extractions, preparing derivative works, or for any other similar purpose, and by any means, is prohibited except where specifically and expressly licensed by Numbers in the form of a written agreement.

The use of any artist’s name, image, likeness, or voice in connection with AI or related technologies also requires the express prior written permission of Numbers.

All rights to make reproductions and extractions for text and data mining purposes in relation to works, content, or other subject matter referred to in Article 4(1) of Directive EU 2019/790 on copyright and related rights in the Digital Single Market are, have been, and continue to be – in respect of Numbers works or content – expressly reserved to Numbers pursuant to Article 4(3) of that Directive.  For jurisdictions outside of the European Union, Numbers similarly reserves all rights to use of Numbers works or content for AI purposes regarding any applicable exception, in each case to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

For the avoidance of doubt, this reservation applies to all works and content owned or controlled by Numbers, now or in the future, including where such content may be identified, discovered, or accessed through publicly available means. No such right or license is to be implied under any circumstances in any jurisdiction.
